-Welcome to another episode of Mondays With Milt. Now, did you know that today is National Apple Pie Day? And in honor of that, we decided to come back to my kitchen, and we're gonna make an apple pie. So I've got my pie pan. I've got the crust here already, and now we've got to load it up with some apples, and this is a recipe that has been in the family for a long time. And if you cook it just right, all of the apples will just go down into the pie, and it'll be absolutely perfect. Let me get them arranged here. That looks pretty good. So let's put them in the oven, and let's just see what we have. Okay, now it's been a few minutes, so let's just see how the pie has come out. I better use this towel, 'cause I think it's gonna be a little hot. Oh, it looks like one of the apples did not cook down all the way, but that's okay. I'm gonna try to get that one off the pie. Oh, but the rest of 'em. That looks perfect, just like Grandma taught us how to make it. So there you have it. I think we're gonna cut a piece, 'cause there's nothing better than warm apple pie, and we'll see you next week on another episode of Mondays With Milt. Well, we got a little bit of crackling crust. Oh, my! It's a little hot. That is really good, just like Grandma used to make. I think it's my crust. The crust really brings out the flavor. It's kinda flakey, just enough sugar to it. Really nice, I hope I don't spoil my lunch. I really don't care. Would you like a bite?
