WireCrafters ISO Audit

Welcome to another episode of Mondays With Milt. Now today, we are in the middle of a week long ISO audit. And when we've got this audit going on we are checking everything within the company that we say that we do. So right now, we're back in the powder coat, finishing area and our ISO representative here at WireCrafters, Chad Anglin and we'll speak with him in a little bit later. He's talking with some of the finishing personnel. here at WireCrafters that work on the powder line every day. So we're checking to make sure that we're doing everything we say we do. So we're looking at the mill thickness of the powder coat, we're evaluating everything about our procedures. Checking all the different chemicals, making sure everything's up to date. So that's what we're doing today. We'll be at the saw department, the welding department, the quality department, It's a week-long procedure. It takes a lot to be ISO certified and we're very proud that we are. And we'll continue to be.

Talking with Chad Anglin

So I'm here with Chad Anglin. And he is our ISO representative that takes care of the audit here, and man, this takes a ton of work as I've witnessed over the past three days. You wanna tell a little about it? -So we are certified to ISO 9001-2015 and every year we have to have recertification to verify we're still doing the things we say we're doing that make us successful. This is recertification because it was a renewal year. So we have to take four and a half days to have some auditing done. Because of COVID-19, it's hard to bring people into the building so as you can see we are remote auditing and we are doing everything via a phone app, go-to-meeting, and computer. -That's what we have this week.
